Everything about fiberglass

Many building materials don’t last for a long time. Wood, derived from tall trees in forests, eventually rots, metals rust and dents over time but one material that stands the test of time is FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic). FRP is a durable and long-lasting material that remains resilient for many years. It is a strong yet lightweight material commonly used in buildings due to its corrosion resistance. Made from a combination of materials to enhance its performance, FRP is widely utilized in aerospace, automotive, marine and construction industries.

Polydamic Group Berhad is one of the manufacturers of FRP in Malaysia. As a listed company, we operate two manufacturing plants and a service center in Malaysia, dedicated to providing solutions for air pollution control and chemical corrosion. Our team consists of professional engineers with extensive experience and skilled technicians in system design, product manufacturing and site installation. We hold the ISO 9001:2015 certification and have earned several prestigious awards. Polydamic Group Berhad’s customer base spans across the globe, including countries like Australia, China, Egypt and more. Our range of products and services falls under three main categories: Air Pollution Control Systems, Environmental Engineering Products and Technical Consultation and Maintenance Services. One of the popular items that we manufacture is fiberglass (FRP) items.

One of the key ways FRP is utilized is in the production of FRP grating. They are cost-effective, durable, and highly safe to use. There are 2 types of FRP Grating, one of them is called Molded and another one is called Pultruded. Our company manufactures FRP molded Grating with a 1 inch mesh size. The gritted top surface is specifically designed to prevent slipping. The standard size of the grating is 4ft x 8ft. As the name suggests, Molded FRP Grating is created using molds and is available in various thicknesses and mesh patterns. Mesh in square patterns makes the cutting of the panels more efficient while reducing waste and benefiting the environment. The applications of FRP gratings are very commonly used in industries, plants, ports and walkways.
